Excavators

For sale is a 1988 EL300 for parts or repair. I bought this from the crooks at old forge power equipment in PA. I put less than an hour on the machine and it developed what I believe to be a rod knock. Dont do business with them. They are a crooked business. Not willing to do anything about it. The machine moves and digs, but has some other issues aside from the rod knock. (None of which were disclosed to me). The tracks have frozen spots in them which make it hard to move at times, but we were still able to move the machine, just had to play with the controls a little. The muffler has holes in, and the ignition switch is goofy, you have to jiggle it a bunch to get it to fire. The throttle cable broke, and we have a new one, but didnt it installed. Im taking a monster bath on this thing, and at this point I just want it gone. With that said, all the hydraulics seem to work good, and felt like a strong machine. Even the engine seemed strong until the rod knock. The 48 bucket and drive motors are worth what im asking. It reads under 5,000 hours and seems to be in decent shape its age.
