ENGINE RUNS BUT HAS A HOLE IN BLOCK – ROD THROWN AND PUNCTURED THROUGH BLOCK PLEASE READ BELOW & WATCH VIDEO! 1998 Bobcat 325 Mini Excavator, OROPS (Canopy), Kubota 3-Cylinder 27 Horsepower Diesel Engine, Hydrostatic Forward/Reverse, Rubber Pads/Tracks, Digging Bucket, Boom Auxiliary Hydraulic Connections, Backfill/Leveling/Push Blade, 6,000#+ Operating Weight Machine, SN: 514015493, 4,485 Actual Hours. Located in Mississippi, this unit belonged to a small City since new in 1998, was used by the City for years around the City doing general work, about a year ago the unit slung a rod in the engine and the City decided to replace it with a new one because of age, it has been sitting idle not being used for the last year. The City public works Director explained all functions of the machine were working properly when the engine slung a rod and that it was serviced over the years properly. Please understand that we promise and guarantee that it has a hole, large hole almost the size of a baseball in the back side of the engine block about ¾ of the way down the engine, in between a golf ball and baseball size (please look at photos in photo link of hole these were taken by removing the seat/seat frame hole is on inside/front side of engine), believe it or not the engine will crank right up and run, actually doesnt run bad at all, has a little miss but if it was not pouring oil out of the hole you would not realize or think it had a slung rod, the battery will not hold a charge and needs to be replaced, we did not replace the battery because we did not want anyone at the shop/warehouse cranking it and running all the oil out, we filled the engine with oil and jumped it off to get the video, did not run long enough to lose all the oil and only ran to show that it does run, hydraulics work and will pull forward and backwards, you cannot use like this or you cannot use for long like this, oil dumps out block almost as fast as you can or could pour it in, the hydraulics seem to be strong, unit will pull forward and reverse and in both directions, the boom pins/bushings do have some slack and we noticed a cylinder leaking on the boom just needs to be repacked, it does have auxiliary hydraulic connections, the boom has a spot where it has been patched/repaired/welded at one time by the City, the bucket is missing a tooth, undercarriage/sprockets/pads all look fine, the turntable has no slack and seems to be in good shape, the unit is missing a panel on the left side that can be seen in the photos as not being on the machine we do not have it and the City could not locate it, the operators seat is ripped/torn and needs to be replaced, other than that what you see is what you get! Please remember this unit is over 15 years old, will need a new block or a new engine or use the machine for parts, if you really want to fix up then you will also need a battery, a new seat, a panel for the side that is missing and a good servicing! The machine was just washed before photos/video were taken so some of the wet spots around and below the machine may be from being washed, the oil is from the hole in the block and we found one cylinder on the boom leaking. We can load on or in any type transport, have a crane that will pick it straight up or can load off dock! The photos and video were taken the day before the listing on November 21, 2015, and show the excavator in its current condition! WE WILL LOAD THE UNIT, JUST LINE UP A TRUCK AND GIVE US ADVANCE NOTICE AND WE WILL LOAD FOR FREE, WE DO PREFER ALL ARRIVAL PLANS TO BE MADE AND DISCUSSED AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE. UNIT CAN BE STORED FOR 30 DAYS OR LONGER IF NEED BE! BOBCAT 325 MINI EXCAVATOR LOCATION.
