Once the mechanical work has been completed it goes off into the next step of reconditioning which may be the body shop or detail. Step 3: (THE TEST DRIVE & DETAIL) Once all work has been completed mechanically and cosmetically, we are lucky enough to have a semi-retired CDL driver do test drives for us. This test drive is where any kinks get worked out and to ensure all mechanical work has been completed correctly. As the driver is on his test drive he notes any minor issues (if any) and reports back with how it drove. If you would like to speak to the driver directly, we can put you into contact with him to get his opinion on the truck. Once it gets his blessing, it goes to detail (if it wasn’t detailed already) to be shined up. The detailing process typically takes 2 full days and includes an interior and exterior wash. Our detailer has been in this line of work for over 20 years and knows how to make a truck shine! After all of this, the truck is finally ready to sell. At this time the truck gets placed on “the pad” and is ready for 100+ pictures and a several minute long video. At this point the truck has been looked over by several people, mechanically checked, driven over an hour, cleaned and is a product we can stand behind and put our name on.
