This configuration is cheaper to haul because it can be hauled on a truck without detaching the arm/dipper and boom and haul them separately as with longer configurations. Its been Hauled on 10axles total(rig+trailer) as pictured with boom & arm still on. I can send pics of that if your heavy haul transporter is unfamiliar with hauling this configuration.
